More focus, more energy, more regeneration

Cold as an impulse for balance and focus.

Cold Plunge exerts a clearly measurable stimulus on the body. The change in temperature activates thermoreceptors, vascular regulation, and the autonomic nervous system—processes that can support recovery and sharpen perception.

At Recover Society, we use cold as a precise recovery technology with clear parameters such as temperature, duration, and breathing guidance. Embedded in tranquility and modern spa design, the cold stimulus becomes a structured experience.

What exactly is cold plunging?

Longevity is a question of lifestyle - not chance.

COLD PLUNGE

ice bath

With cold plunging, you consciously immerse yourself in cold water for a few minutes. Our hubs offer two temperature settings: 10°C for a moderate start and 3°C for a more intense cold stimulus.

CONTRAST THERAPY

Cold & Light

Contrast therapy is a guided session consisting of cold plunge and red light. You apply a brief cold impulse and then immediately follow it with red light—for greater alertness, clarity, and a noticeably regulated body sensation. Ideal as a reset in everyday life or around training.

Frequently asked questions about ice bathing

Here you will find answers to questions about our cold plunge and other offers.

After a brief conversation with your coach, you will be carefully introduced to your individual cold exposure time. This usually lasts between three and five minutes. Targeted breathing plays an important role in helping you to better control the cold stimulus and increase your well-being during the session. The treatment can be easily combined with other technologies we offer, such as red light or oxygen therapy. Our experts on site will be happy to advise you on this.

Ice bathing is an integral part of the Re:Juvenate and Re:gain routines and membership of Recover Society. We use targeted cold stimuli in many combinations, which many users find refreshing and stimulating.

For medically supervised treatments - e.g. in combination with infusions - a consultation with our local medical partners takes place in advance.

We recommend that you are well rested and do not eat large meals beforehand. If you have cardiovascular diseases or are unsure about your own health, you should consult a doctor beforehand.

Yes, cold plunge sessions are often combined with red light, oxygen or infusions in order to provide different targeted stimuli.

Our cold routines are aimed at people who want to actively invest in their well-being:

  • Professionals with high mental stress

  • Athletes in regeneration phases

  • Guests who want to experience cold as a conscious element of their longevity strategy

  • Hotel guests who want to integrate targeted relaxation during their stay

Many describe a feeling of clarity and lightness after a session - a moment of conscious pause in everyday life.

We recommend that you do not fully submerge your head when ice bathing. A lot of heat is lost through the head area, which can significantly increase the cold sensation. The focus is on conscious, controlled exposure - the head usually remains above water.

During exposure to cold, the blood vessels contract briefly and then expand again. This natural change stimulates blood circulation and can contribute to a better supply of oxygen and nutrients to the cells.

Some people report that regular cold applications improve their subjective well-being and health. Studies suggest that repeated cold stimuli at certain temperatures can stimulate the immune system - among other things by activating certain immune cells.

Cold can stimulate the autonomic nervous system and is often perceived as calming. Some people notice a reduction in stress hormones and increased mental clarity after the treatment.

The intense cold stimulus can stimulate the release of endorphins - endogenous substances that are often associated with a positive mood and increased alertness. This reaction contributes to the fact that many guests find ice bathing invigorating and clarifying.

Targeted cold applications are often used after exercise to aid regeneration. The temperature stimulus can promote blood circulation, relax the muscles and improve the subjective feeling of recovery.

The body reacts to cold by producing heat. Among other things, this activates the so-called brown adipose tissue, which converts energy into heat. This process can be part of a healthy metabolic balance.

Some people with chronic complaints report that they find cold applications beneficial, as the stimulus can temporarily reduce their sensitivity to pain. However, such applications should always be carried out in consultation with medical partners.
